Sauteed Mushrooms

I feel as though mushrooms are so underrated. These guys are packed with umami and elevate any dish you make for dinner. These basic sauteed mushrooms are a perfect recipe to know.
Depending on your main entree you can enhance the flavor of the shrooms by simply incorporating fresh herbs and garlic.

  • 12 oz variety of mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp Sherry Vinegar
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • EVOO
  • 2-3 Tbsp Butter opt if vegan

  1. In a large skillet add 1 Tbsp of EVOO and 1 Tbsp butter on medium-high heat. Swirl around to coat the whole pan. Add mushrooms, do not let them overlap. They need space to cook.

  2. Season with a generous amount of salt and pepper. Sautee for 5-8 minutes. Make a well with the mushrooms and add sherry vinegar in the middle. Sautee for another 2-3 minutes.

  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low, add butter, stirring frequently.

  4. Serve with fresh chopped chives or any fresh herb. Enjoy
