Watermelon Caprese

5/5

Watermelon Caprese all summer long, yes, please!

It’s summertime here in Los Angeles which calls for backyard BBQs, refreshing drinks, and juicy apps!

I think we’ve all had a caprese before, you know the appetizer you usually see at Italian restaurants. With the juicy tomato slices, soft fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and some type of balsamic glaze and oil. All aligned flawlessly for that consistent perfect bite.

Well, swap the tomato slice for watermelon and allow me to blow your taste buds away. There’s just something magical about sweet watermelon, salty cheese and tartness of balsamic that just work together.

I can’t wait to make this for my son’s birthday. He’s turning 15 and is obsessed with cheese and watermelon, hopefully he’ll like the balsamic. He can be picky! wWish us luck! Thanks Britt
